If you are in the office there is more than one computer and each computer connected to the printer would not be a problem, what if in the office there is only one or a few pieces of printer alone would be another issue because you have to pay more to buy a new printer. the right solution is to create a network so you can share the printer to all computers. What if there is a computer in a computer network that uses the Operating System widows XP and Windows 7? I will try to share tips on how to share a printer that can be accessed by all computers using either Windows XP Operating System and Windows 7 in one network.
The following steps - steps:
First make sure all the computers are located in a network with group name / workgroup same
Performing these steps if your printer is connected to a computer-based windows 7
- On Windows 7-based computer: Start> Control Panel> All Control Panel Items> Network and Sharing Center click on "Change advanced sharing settings" and activate the "Turn on network discovery", "Turn on file and printer sharing" and "Turn off password protected sharing ".
- Click Start> "Devices and Printers"> Double click on the printer icon that will be shared.
- Double click on "Customize your printer".
- Select the Sharing tab and check "share this printer" and "Render print jobs on client" Similarly typing Type the printer you want to share.
- In order to be accessed by a computer using Windows XP operating system click "Additionel drivers" check x64 and x86> OK
- The printer is located on the computer using the Windows 7 operating system has finished shared, you can check through My Computer> select Network as shown below:
The next step add the printer that has been shared to your computer using the Windows XP operating system, do the following:
- Click the Start menu> Printers and Fax> Add a Printer
- Select the "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer"> next
- Select the "Brows for a print"> select Type your shared printer> Next or select "Connect to this printer ..."> type the printer type on your computer such as Windows 7 OS image> next
- Click "Yes" to install the printer driver automatic> Finish
My advice should be installed first printer driver on a computer that uses a Windows operating system you have xp windows 7 driver is not compatible with windows xp.
The printer is now ready for use, good luck and hopefully useful
